nail file

A fashion accessory with a difference, nail art is a craze that is becoming bigger than ever.

Get creative and explore difference colours, patterns and looks to give your nails a personality of their own.

Perhaps if you are someone who doesn’t do jewellery, than making the most of your nails could be your new accessory.

Personally, I am pretty boring when it comes to my nails and I often paint them red, black or electric blue – the usual. However I feel it is time to make the most of my nail varnish collection, which is growing bigger by the day!

When it comes to trying new patterns, why not try Minx- a solid nail coating that is available in a number of different shades and looks.

Minx is easy to use, creates no mess and lasts for much longer than ordinary nail varnish.

I have used it myself on my toe nails, I actually had it done by a friend who was great at it! It lasted for a week or so and looked great.

Celebrities such as Beyonce and Lady Gaga are just a few who use Minx to make the most of their nails.

Here are a few Minx looks I have found on google:

If you do decide to buy Minx, look on ebay as it is much more cheaper.

If you wish to paint your nails but struggle with creating a specific look, why not visit you tube and check out a tutorial.

'Galaxy Nails' is a fantastic look that looks tricky but is actual very easy to achieve...

If you want to create this look (below) check out an online tutorial.

sparkle and shine

Prepare for a season of precious jewel stone shades on the catwalk and on the high street.
Warm, elaborate and majestic tones have taken over from last seasons block colour trend.

Easier to wear and undoubtedly more sophisticated, this desirable trend is set to make you feel great this autumn/winter.
Dazzle onlookers with shades of sapphire, ruby, emerald, garnet and amber.
An evening look like no other, be brave with this trend and sparkle with one colour from head to toe.
Jewel tones are set to be the new black this season. However if you are not quite ready to throw away your LBD's and don a new colourful look, perhaps invest in some jewel tone accessories like a clutch bag or an eye-catching pair of shoes.

chic yet cosy

As we all begin to wrap up warm for winter- I am writing this from the depths of my blanket- why not do it in style.

Although I am still mourning the loss of summer, I cannot help but look forward to the wrapping up that comes along with winter. Cosy scarfs, classy coats and winter boots make me feel great in winter and can be just as satisfying as our summer garments.

Sometimes it is nice to just be able to throw on an oversize jumper, or dare I say a hoody and feel great. Comfortable doesn’t have to be dowdy or unfashionable.

The jumper will be a big hit this winter and when it comes to choosing one that is right for you, the options are plentiful.

Cable knit, over sized, cardigan or sweaters……the choice is yours….

What’s more this season you can have a little more fun with knitwear, as print and pattern are making a come back.

If you are stuck for ideas, check out the knitwear that I have managed to find on the high street.

the season of shoes

This is a post for all of you shoe lovers out there, of which I am one.

I have compiled a list of five of the best shoes on the high street at the moment, taking into consideration both style and value for money. Hurry though, as a few of these beauty's are in the sale.

1. Brown Leather Chelsea Boots are set to be a key piece for AW11. I have found a very reasonably priced pair, considering they are real leather.

2. Maintaing this seasons 'masculine chic' trend, these brogues blur the boundaries between masculine and feminine styling. Whats more they are made by the best.

3. The 'Kate' loafer is comfortable and classy. It is also much more affordable now that it is in the sale.

4. I purchased a pair of these tan leather brogues two Christmas' ago and I am still wearing them now. Comfortable, fashionable and also water proof might I add- these babies are more of investment than a purchase.

boyish charm

So its official, A/W11 is upon us and although personally I feel like I have barely had a chance to wear my summer clothes yet, fashion is always that one step ahead.

One trend that fashionista’s can expect to see more of this season is masculine chic. Tailored shirts, fitted blouses and cropped trousers will all be making an appearance both on the catwalks and on the high street this season.

If this years’ September issue has taught me anything, it’s that the key piece of this trend is the classic cropped trouser. A staple piece.

If you are taller a cropped skinny will flatter your lengthy pins, where as if you are petite floor sweepers will elongate your legs.

If you are undecided on the black trouser- the choices available to you are endless. We have the cropped cigarette trouser, the smart skinny, the floor sweeper, the schoolboy and the tuxedo styled trouser…to name a few.

Perfect for a classy cocktail filled evening or a day at the office, black trousers will make you feel powerful and classy.

The cropped trouser will play a vital role in you’re A/W wardrobe- so look out for a pair on the high street. I would also advice spending that little bit more on a pair that will last you this year and the next.

I personally favour a black cropped trouser- as black is best known for being sliming and it's also easier to accessorise.

I managed to pick up a pair from Zara’s basic range last A/W season and they only cost me £19.99. I am still wearing them this year, although the colour has faded ever so slightly. I like to wear mine with kitten heels, a shirt and a clutch bag for an evening look. During the day they look great with moccasins and a blazer.

relocation

Hello fellow bloggers and followers!

Apologises for my absence over the last couple of months.

Since my last blog I have changed jobs and moved to Northern Ireland to carry out an internship with online publication, Inside Ireland: www.insideireland.ie

I am really enjoying it and managing to get lots published.

I am also hoping to connect my blog up to the website- so watch this space!

I cannot even begin to sum up what items of clothing I've purchase or what trends I've been following over the last couple of months, I will say though, that there is no time like the present to start a fresh...

It’s good to be back!
